Hi! I’m Lindsay, and I love travel. So does my husband, Scott. And we are trying to instill the same enthusiasm into our two young children, J and A. Traveling as a family of four has its challenges, sure, but the more we do it, the more we learn, and the more manageable it gets. Having kids didn’t slow down our interest in seeing new places around the world, so now they are along for the ride. And how could I leave such adorable photo subjects at home anyway?
Scott and I have been taking trips together since 2007. We added J to the mix in 2016, and A joined us in 2017. So, yes, we’ve done the backpacking thing, the suitcase thing, and we went through the travel diaper bag thing too. (If all goes well, we might be able to leave the diaper bag in the dust pretty soon… *fingers crossed*.) UPDATE: No more diaper bags! Yay!
I remember planning that first post-baby trip and the fear of the unknown and being pretty sure that we might not all make it. Since then, we’ve learned so much about traveling with babies and now toddlers. Hopefully sharing all of our hard-earned knowledge will help other traveling families and inspire more to go for it. Book that trip! You can do it! Hard? Yes. Doable? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!
We have a tradition to take a pre-vacation selfie on the parking shuttle bus on the way to the airport!
